Minis In the Pantry

I love poppy seeds, not lodged in my teeth, but tucked away in my mini stash.

I have used them as 'gravel' for a path on the exterior of my dollhouse. I glued them down there more than 10 years ago and they still look good.

As well, I have used poppy seeds mixed into polymer clay to represent chocolate chips in cookies.

As well they make pretty good raisins inbaked goods, I use orange craft sand to represent grated carrot.

Dried split peas can be used too.It is so easy to make a teeny apple pie.
Just fill a doll's house pie tin [or bottle cap] with split peas. Cover with a thin polymer clay piecrust and let the clay sink down onto the split peas to create a realistic bumpy top. Bake the whole thing in the oven.

Sculpting polymer clay people is another aspect of of the miniatures hobby. I love creating little 5-6 inch polymer clay ''dolls'', but I am not a big fan of putting ''dolls'' in a dollhouse. I placed my dolls in a Victorian Market setting.
